Alex trusts that you are your own best advocate, seeing his role as a guide to allow each of his clients to embody this belief fully. No matter where you may be on this personal journey, Alex takes on a collaborative, person-centered approach grounded in creating a strong therapeutic relationship first. From this foundation, Alex partners with his clients to address not only current presenting issues but also to empower them to create and build upon skills that can carry on with them throughout their lives. He strives to create a positive, welcoming environment that allows each person to be themselves, understanding the creation of this space to be the roots from which success can grow.
Alex has a background in human services around Minnesota including case management and vocational rehabilitation services. Through many years of work within this field as well as through his personal lived experiences, he is deeply practiced in working with people from all backgrounds and identities, specifically people of color, people with disabilities, people with traumatic brain injuries, and people with a wide continuum of mental health diagnoses. Alex is a pre-licensed mental health therapist receiving his Master's from Capella University with anticipated graduation in December 2024. Alex completed his undergraduate degree from Bemidji State University in Criminal Justice with a Minor in Psychology in 2017.
